BOOKS:
“Books so full of discovery and enlightenment, they literally give you goosebumps. They are such a feel good factor in a world that could honestly use it. A must have for both men and women – so inspiring I didn’t want them to end!” Henny Maltby
“This is a stunning and inspiring book. Having had a challenging year myself, I know the enormous importance of having people further along the path who have gone through great hardship and come out the other side stronger for it. I love that these are not celebrities or women seemingly ‘out of reach’, but ordinary women who have been able to transform their pain into a positive life – that’s true alchemy and powerful stuff!” Charlie Mitchell
“Susie Mackie has done an amazing job in masterfully putting this book together. ‘Women of Spirit’ is not just about one woman but about all women who learned that the pain of life is not the end of life. An excellent book to share with others; once you read it, you will want to gift it to someone who needs to know she is not alone in her journey of life.” Linda D Wattley USA
“I was totally engrossed in it this morning; when you start reading the detail of someone’s experiences with a really engaging story to tell you just can’t stop. It’s a book of hope. The women had not only one challenge to deal with; other things are going on in their lives as well. You think the main experience they’ve been through is the difficult one – then other challenges which come afterwards are unexpectedly tough. The end point is that they come through with a new mindset or new career.”
Nicky Price, Presenter BBC Radio Gloucestershire

EXAMPLES from Volume Two:
Gail Reynolds:
From a single parent living in a council flat with two young children and claiming benefits, Gail is now one of the UK’s most influential leaders of our time. With no business background, no qualifications when she left school and no knowledge of the industry she entered, Gail built an empire of over 2500 team members, building a massive annual turnover of over six million pounds. Gail has pioneered training programmes, developed niche coaching skills and mentored thousands of women who have gone on to be successful entrepreneurs like herself. Gail’s book ‘Mum’s the Word’ gained her another accolade as an award-winning author at the London Book Festival awards. She was a Keynote Speaker in Brussels Parliament and has represented European Entrepreneurial Women in business. Her passion for helping other women reach their full potential absolutely matches the Women of Spirit mission.
Heidi Clutterbuck:
Heidi is the complainant who refused to give up. In a quest for justice and closure she reported her childhood sexual abuse and naively entered a four-year process culminating in an independent inquiry with the Independent Office for Police Conduct. A journey which would test her to the limits of human endurance. A process hampered by data breeches, leaks and Gloucestershire Police’s refusal to accept the wrongdoing of their officers. Sexual crime is based on power and the loss of it. Heidi decided to use her power for good to help create change and learning in a system stacked unfavorably against those who may be vulnerable due to their circumstance or trauma. Seeing more was needed to be done to implement, create dialogue and share this vital learning, Heidi created her own presentation ‘Larkspur’ to assist the police. In July 2018 this work was endorsed by Chief Constable Martin Jelley and Heidi is currently visiting a number of Police Forces to present ‘Larkspur’.
